After graduating from the University of Western Cape in 1997 Dr Mathews joined the dental faculty as a service rendering dentist. She did this for two years, one of which was spent at a paediatric dental facility. She then entered into private practice and has worked at various practices in Cape Town. She completed her post graduate diploma in implantology in 2006 and in Paediatric Dentistry in 2010.

She continued to work as a clinical supervisor in Paediatric and Conservative Dentistry at the University of Western Cape.

She has attended many orthodontic courses and has a keen interest in fixed and interceptive orthodontics.

We call  her our endo Guru as she loves taking on challenging cases and she does so with skill and confidence.
